Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay's birthplace was Ogden Utah on September 15 1915. Fawn MacKay was a Mormon who was part of the Church of Latter-Day Saints' first family, combined her brilliant literary skills and impressive expertise in research to publish the dazzling psychohistorical book The book, No Man is a Master of My History, which was published in 1945. The title derives from the funeral sermon of Joseph Smith, the creator of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. Smith shocked his listeners by declaring: "You don't even know my name. I haven't even met the depths of my soul." My history is not known to anyone. There is no one who knows my past. Fawn an older woman, aged 29 wrote: "Since that moment of truthfulness, three or more writers have picked up the challenge." Many have abused him some have glorified him. A handful have attempted at diagnosing him clinically. It's not that documents are lacking however they are fiercely contradictory. The task is to distinguish the primary source from third-hand plagiarism as well as to match Mormons' claims with the non-Mormons' in an authentic historical mosaic. This is an exciting learning experience. Such was the task to which Fawn Brodie devoted herself professionally. Her research and writing made her immortalized with worldwide fame. Thaddeus Stevens. The Devil Drives (1959) Scourge Of The Southern The Portrait of Sir Richard Burton (1967) Thomas Jefferson. A Personal The Story of Thomas Jefferson (1974) as well as posthumously Richard Nixon.
