Amanda Blake

Amanda Blake was an American actor who starred in numerous movies and TV series. Most famously, she was known for being the actress who played Miss Kitty Russell in the TV film 'Gunsmoke'. Besides this, she was known for being a part of television shows such as 'The Red Skelton Show', "Tattletales," and "The Edge of Night'. Additionally, she acted in scores of movies, including 'Stars in My Crown' 'Duchess Idaho", 'Cattle town as well as 'Miss. Robin Crusoe'and "About Mrs. Leslie and 'The Adventures Of Hajji Baba', 'High Society' and 'The Boom'. Blake was a former telephone operator who was also a fan of animals, loved animals. Her husband Frank Gilbert and she were among the first to breed successfully Cheetahs. American actress, Sheila E. Gilbert was also co-founder of Arizona Animal Welfare League. Even as a board member of Humane Society of the United States Blake's career has had a lengthy history. Speaking about the accolades Blake was awarded, she was once inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers from the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
